Dvorkin Trio is an original, unique act & a show! Tim Dvorkin Trio is an original mix of modern, energetic, expressive blues, jazz, pop, rock, jam-band & fusion tunes!

Tim Dvorkin was born in Russia and he started playing at restaurants, clubs & other venues at the age of 14. Before moving to the US, Tim played with “JAM,” a blues/rock band that performed around Russia & Europe.

Tim moved to the US in 1997 & graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2002. While at Berklee, he received the “Best All Around Keyboardist” award in 2000 and played 200+ recording & film scoring sessions. Tim also has played 1000+ shows all over New England, New York, Florida, Ohio & Canada as a session player.

Tim Dvorkin has played/performed, recorded & shared the stage with Lionel Loueke, Warren Wolf, Tony Gray, Chris Egan, Jordan Perlson, German Schauss, Louis Cato, Chris Farr, Dmitry Ishenko, Kayta Matsuno, and many others.

Some of Tim’s influences are McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Dave Weckl, Frank Gambale, Terence Blanchard, Roy Hargrove, Brecker Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin to name a few.

Tim is currently teaching piano and working on his projects focusing on Jazz and Fusion. Tim’s studio and live performances include a solo act, trio and quartet, and other projects as a session player.

Tim’s debut trio album, Tim Dvorkin Trio “LIVE @ Brothers Drake” (2015) includes 7 hot original tracks and features Bradley Mellen on bass and Rick Soriano on drums. Read the JazzColumbus review here.

Tim Dvorkin's New CD

Pianist Tim Dvorkin and his trio, with Bradley Mellen on acoustic bass and Rick Soriano on drums, recently released a new album entitled Live at Brothers Drake. Recorded by Aaron Oakley at a Jazz Wednesday appearance by the band, these seven tracks of original compositions by Dvorkin showcase this high-flying unit in vibrant color.
